Our services are programed to help the body
heal as quickly as possible. We use physiotherapy equipment
to reduce swelling, decrease pain, and help restore normal
balance to the tissues of the body.
Our intersegmental tables are used to help keep the spine
flexible or to reestablish the normal ranges of the spine.
Motion is applied between the vertebra producing a gentle
stretching of ligaments and muscles. This action increases
blood flow and oxygen to the discs, ligaments and muscles
resulting in stronger healthier tissue allowing the body to
heal faster. Discs obtain blood flow by osmosis from tissue
surrounding it because discs do not have arteries and veins.
The motion provided by the intersegmental table increases
blood flow and oxygen to the disc and helps decrease disc
degeneration.
To decrease compression on spinal joints, our computerized
longaxis traction table is used to cause decompression of
the joints. This changes the pressure on the joints and discs
and can help move a disc back to a more normal position. There
have been documented cases where this has prevented the need
for low back surgery. Good results have also been observed
with arthritis of the spine.
To help decrease inflammation of tissues and swelling which
cause pain, we can choose between interferrential current,
ultrasound, high volt current, or a combination of ultrasound
and high volt current, Russian Stim and Micro current. As
you can notice, a patient can receive these treatments while
in a comfortable position of either laying down or sitting
