Know Your Doctor
Dr. Ed Black graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1970. He was a student and associate under Dr. Otto Reinert. Dr. Reinert was considered as one of the top chiropractors in the world.
Dr. Black taught at Logan Chiropractic College from 1971 to 1972. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University plus hours toward a a master degree. During years of practice , Dr. Black continued to take postgraduate courses to improve his services for his patients.
Black’s Chiropractic Clinic began in Cleveland, Oklahoma in 1972. In 1987, a new passive solar clinic building was constructed. The increased window space allows a pleasant atmosphere for the patients.
Dr. Black believes that God created the body and provided a way for the body to heal itself. If symptoms of illness or pain begin, then something is affecting the way the body was designed to heal itself. Chiropractic’s purpose is to find the cause of the malfunction and correct it. Correction of the cause allow the body to again begin the process of healing.
Type of treatments are varied. Each patient requires a different procedure. The treatments provided are diversifies, Logan basic, activator , acupuncture, kinesiology, and extremity techniques. Lab and lab consultation with nutritional consultation is available. Physiotherapy such as ultrasound, interferential current, ultrasound, high volt current, combination of high volt current and ultrasound, Russian Stim and Micro are used.
Exams consists of orthopedic and neurological testing. X-rays are used to determine structure and any pathology that may be in the bone. A polarity exam is also used to test cellular level.
